Season’s Greeting’s ~
We are so excited to be coordinating our 5th Year of Holiday Missions!
Our plans were to host something really big; however, things changed when my company went through a rather extensive reorganization and laid me off. When I first heard the news, I thought “oh no, what about our financial contribution to the Mission?”. I called Mario immediately, and we both agreed that although we may not be able to contribute all of the $3000 we put aside for the Mission, we were still going to contribute something. We knew that we were not alone; that our Mission work has grown over the years, and is no longer just about us, it is about ALL of us together. Because of you, we can continue doing great things even while we are impacted by our new situation. Because of you, each year we are able to raise additional funds that have ranged from $2500 to a high of $4000 above our personal contribution! Thank you to those of you who consistently contribute year over year. Thank you to our newest Mission contributors! Each year, Mario and I push ourselves to deliver Missions that require more money than what we have allocated to our Mission. We know that with your help we have always achieved our goals.
This year is no exception. Miracle Providers Northeast was founded in 2002 by Marc Clermont. His Mission started after a close friend of his became a foster parent to a child with AIDS. Mario came to know Marc through his hair stylist Dean who is an active volunteer for the organization. Their purpose is simple: they want to increase the quality of life of local children and their families affected by HIV/AIDS. At a recent Fundraising Event hosted by Miracle Providers, Mario picked up wish lists for five children. As we looked at each Child’s wish list, we knew we could do more. We requested an additional 20 children. Their are 400 families they are helping this year, up from 300 last year. We share their commitment to do more. Our Mission this year is to fulfill 25 Gift Wishes of Children who have been infected or affected by HIV/AIDS. Miracle Providers does not expect that every wish on the list be fulfilled; however, Mario and I decided that we will fulfill every wish on their lists. It make us nervous, yet we know together with you, we will always meet our goal.
Our letter is early this year. Actually it should have been even earlier, but none the less we are off and running! In order for all of the Children to receive their gifts, Miracle Providers needs to have all items by Monday, December 12, 2011. We apologize for the quick turnaround. We are grateful for your cash donation and are happy to shop for you! For those who like to purchase items, we have included a list for your consideration. If you see something that you would like to purchase, let us know so we can coordinate the list and ensure we are not duplicating purchases ( 978.352.9681 or daploof@comcast.net). I have time now (smile) and can pick up the items at your home, or you can drop off your unwrapped gift at our home on Sunday December 11th from 2-7PM. Stop by, have a Holiday Cocktail, meet others who are part of our mission and share in the true Gift of the Season, one that is filled with Love and Giving to others in need. We are blessed to have you in our lives.
With So Much Love & Appreciation,
